Novation Launchpad Warning

OK, here it is:

The Novation Launchpad DOES NOT work properly with Windows 7. The drivers are too out of whack. Works fine with Vista and XP.

I'll be testing soon with MyDMX. It does appear to work with MIDIOX, so that's encouraging. It does show as an audio device in Windows 7, which isn't necessarily encouraging. I have a lot more testing of not only this but also other bits of gear I have.

Novation needs an updated driver.

Novation has updated their drivers!

Also, Korg has also updated their drivers for the nano-series.

ALSO, here's a funky one:

Under Windows 7, Service Pack 1:
With M-Audio, the original MIDISPORT 2X2 requires a driver to function. The newer MIDISport 2X2 Anniversary Edition DOES NOT need a driver. The driver M-Audio provides is for both. Yet,(I have both), if you DO NOT install the M-Audio driver, you will be UNABLE to use the original 2X2. If you DO install the driver, you will be UNABLE to use the newer 2X2, but now you CAN use the older 2X2.

Be careful what you wish for!
