Hi! I am ordering a few fixtures and the MyDMX package this week, and I have a couple of questions:
- I have searched the forum and the DropBox folders, but I cannot locate a profile for the Mega Tri Bar
- in MyDMX is there any way to manually advance a scene step-by-step, other than in the edit window? On my console controller, I built different scenes for each song, then our light guy would manually advance through the steps of each scene with the beat
- our old setup had 15 fixtures, and we used regular XLR mike cables, with a terminator plug on the last fixture, without any problems - I have read that I should be using "DMX cables" instead. Opinions? Advice?

Sorry in advance if these are repeat questions, any help would be appreciated!

You should ALWAYS use DMX cable. Here is a good video explanation.

Also let me say I have had a lot of calls over my time with ADJ from people not using proper cables. Glitches, Fixtures just flat out not responding. Especially since your using my dmx which get's it's power for USB and not a standard wall outlet. So take that plus a long cable run and mic cable and your playing with fire, seriously. mic Cable is NOT rated for data transmission. Just like DMX cable is not rated for audio signal. Hope you get my point.
I am responding to your profile request thread posting.
I'm not sure if there is any sort of "GO" function. I really don't think so. Best bet is to split up your steps in the scene as one scene per step.
Sincerely,
