Hi so I know that with a licence upgrade I can link myDMX3 and in time myDMX5 to my myDMX go interface which is great, I am trying to work out how I will be able to connect the iPad remote app then via Wi-Fi?

Hi, which exact ipad remote app are you referring too? The Remote app for MyDMX5 or the GO application?
I'm trying to figure out exactly what you are trying to do.
The MyDMX 5 software will need to be on a MAc or Windows computer and the GO hardware will be plugged into the computer via USB.
Hi, I have a myDMX go interface, I am wanting more control so looking at using the myDMX3 or 5 software with the correct licence, I know you can use the myDMX remote app for iPad with said software, can I link my iPad to MacBook direct over Wi-Fi without a router?
Hi, you'd actually be using the "MyDMX" remote application if you use MyDMX 5. Just be sure you upgrade to the MyDMX 5 FULL license to ensure you get the remote app functionality in your license.
and yes, it should work find with an Ad-Hoc wifi signal, just be careful of busy wifi environments.
Just to double check the usb on the interface is that power as well or does it not need power?
The USB port on the MyDMX GO is for power and data when plugged into a computer.
I have the unit now and is all good, however I have tried to register the unit and it’s already registered? I managed to pick it up second hand, can it be deactivated and then I register it? Last thing I want to do is waste money on this.
