Also Yes the profile creator works in demo mode. The only thing you can;t do in demo mode is control actual fixtures as you do not have the USB to DMX interface.

cant open,
although I did find the creator but it is the newer version. There is no option to change channels. What is the channel icon on the new version. Any video tutorials on this one?

What do you mean it can't open? in the program or the editor? once you get the file you have to place it in a folder in the scan library folder in order to see it in the program and patch it in.

I have to use a program to open file and when it comes up, it looks like it is in code and symbols.
BTW the new version I have does not have the channel faders icon to edit with.

don't try to open it. just put it in the folder and patch the fixture in my dmx. you don't need to open it in the creator i made the profile i know it is good.

Ya know, once I get the hang of this thing, it will be a breeze. Alrighty then, I have used the scanlibrary editor and created my Par 64 fixture with it's 6 channels. Can you step by step me how to get it from there to my scan library to be able to put it on the universe and start to use it? I am wasting too much time trying to guess at it just to avoid asking a simple and obvious question.

Hey Schlepie,

once you have created it, click the save button, it should save by default to your documents folder,

it will give you the option to save it as a named file, ie: fixture name, and also to change the save path, which you can change to > C:\myDMX\ScanLibrary > from there you can select the corresponding manufacturers folder, or you can specify your own..

then open up myDMX program and select fixture as you normally would to import into your universe..
