Hello!  I'm using a MyDMX3 box along with the MyDMX3 software, for now.  I noticed that my computer needs to authenticate the box license periodically.  For some reasons, it's not practical to have my lighting system computer connected to the internet all the time.  I can reach the network if needed, but I'd like to have predictability as to when the system needs to authenticate.  Is it a fixed amount of time, or a period of no-use of the system?  My system is used only occasionnally, and I'd hate to have it disabled just at the time I need it!

Second, is it the actual box that needs to refresh the license, or the software?

Thanks!

Hi, the EXPRESS license shouldn't really check for license validity and the FULL Yearly license will periodically check or required to be checked online to ensure no one is trying to cheat the timer clock to get more than a years time. The FULL for life licenses do not check the internet for validity but may try to to see if any other add-ons were added to the license.

The licensing is tied to the specific hardware box, its not the software. The "unlock key" as it were is the DMX output hardware box.
I hope this makes sense? Thanks!
