Mister Kool II loose nut in chiller

Hi, I'm not sure where to post this question. I bought a Mister Kool II brand new a few months ago and had trouble screwing the chiller box closed. I noticed this piece that must've come loose but not sure where it goes. I contacted ADJ and they want me to send the unit for repair but the shipping won't be cheap. Anyone know where this piece belongs?
