Mega Tri Bar LED missing DMX functionality

I run all my lights via DMX including the Mega Tri Bar LED, however, I feel that I am missing some control in the 7 channel mode that would save me having to manually select which colors are used in specific programs.

Why not allow other channels (such as 1,2,3) to control the color selection for the programs that allow for color selection, rather than navigating the menu to select the colors (which limits me during a live show).

Yes I know I could put the device into 54 channel mode and program everything, but I don't believe I have any reason to have to do that when I have channels available.

Just a suggestion for future releases.

Not sure what controller you are using, but if you are using one that has editable profiles, you could trick up the profile so that sliders 1, 2, and 3 control red, green and blue (even though the program will tell you that it is controlling something else, e.g., it might say "Dimmer", "Macro" & "Strobe", but you will know that it is really red, green & blue).

Appreciate the suggestion, but I'm not sure we are talking apples and apples.

The Mega Tri Bar LED as well as the Mega Bar Pro LED both have special programs built in.

The colors that you want to be shown on these programs can be programmed manually by two settings on the actually light itself.

Excerpt from the Manual for Mega Tri Bar:
 Pr.13 - Pr.14 are programs where the program speed or fade time  
 can be adjusted, and also the color(s) can be selected...Press the SET UP button to choose your color(s). The first set of 
 colors are controlled by the program speed. When you press SET 
 UP again you will find a second set of colors, these are controlled 
 by the fade speed. One set of colors must be set to off for the your 
 chosen program to work.

I would like to be able to adjust these colors without manually manipulating the settings on each light. I would like to have DMX Control over these values.
