Long Delay when opening file

That's weird and first I've heard of. Did you do a clean install of the program? By that I mean back up your files completely remove the program and any remaining folders of it, and install the July release new? If not, please try that as sometimes it's known to clear up weird pesky issues like this.
Also what release were you using previously? And is this on windows what? Windows 7?

It's a parallel install incase there are problems .

The parallel version is the 12th Feb Release where this doesn't happen.

Windows 7 64bit... Nothing much else installed on this laptop apart from MyDMX as it's my lighting laptop

I'll remove the old version and clean up.. then I'll re-install and see what happens tonight.

you are using parallel's in case there is a problem? Well.....what if THAT'S the problem? LOL i've never heard of that, seems unnecessarily redundant....

Finally managed to get 30 mins to play around with the installs.

Ok, so.... Removed ALL other versions and deleted directories containing Sudi etc..

Rebooted..

Clean install, downloaded SSL2 and Installed drivers.

Same problem.... then I did some more trouble shooting.,,,,
As it turns out, if I single clicked on the tabs, nothing happens... it appears to still be hanging... BUT, if I double clicked on any of the tabs, voila... instant display as expected....

Once I'd done this, everything appears to work fine navigating around the interface.

Also, if I leave MyDMX on the 'Live' tab before loading the file, it goes straight in no problems, no delay... if left on the 'Setup' tab, I get the problem that doesn't clear until double clicking on any of the other tabs..

So, resolved.. but slightly odd behaviour.

I haven't updated mine yet but what I have seen is when starting it looks blank until I minimize the program and then maximize it again. Takes seconds but it's just funny.

I'll be updating though, I haven't checked the site for months and I see there are new updates.

Yep having the same exact problem with the MAC version I just downloaded a few weeks back, takes forever to load. I am also not able to get the "learn midi command" to pop up.

Still does it on the current release as of this date. Pretty slow response to problems.
