I'm trying to see if this is possible. Let me try to explain what i am doing. Basically i'm trying to figure out a good layout for my screen when using MyDMX. I have 8 moving heads, and 8 pars. I would to separate into groups by lights and colors/movements.
My question is, can I make colors and color schemes that I can easily click on, no matter where the lights currently are at in a prior selected scene or movement.
Example would be, 8 moving heads are randomly moving in an oblong circular motion, and another part of the song is coming up that needs a color scheme change, but I would like to keep the movements going.
What I HAVE been doing is duplicating the scene, with just a new color, but this is getting tedious and really taking up a lot of usable space on my live screen, but whatever I am trying automatically takes prescience over the last scene i was playing. I tried setting some scenes without color and just movement, and then tried setting another group with some color. Whats happening is the movement stops and the colors show up to wherever the lights were positioned when i set that color scheme which i guess makes sense. Is there like, a setting somewhere where i can program scenes to "ignore" the pan/tilt channels, or "ignore" the color channels so that I could have like several color scenes that I could click on, and several fixture positions/movements that I could click on. And use them together without programming and duplicating over and over and over just for get the same effect with a different color palette.
I have noticed I can get something similar done by using the palette toolbar, but when youre taking about 4 different colors and 16 different lights, its just not feasible in a live setting to get that done in a quick manner.
