Huge Feedback Fault - American Audio VMS 4.1

Dear All,

First Post, wonder if anyone can help. I have a huge feedback fault on my American Audio VMS 4.1. At first it seemed to be coming throught when i activated the microphone cancels but now it seems to be coming through channel 1 as well. Its just an overpowering white noise sound, that even it the fader/gainj pot turned to zero is very loud. I have purchased a new power adapter and it still seems to be coming through. At first i thought it was the microphone cable, but now even it no other cables other an the power and xlr outputs plugged in its still their. Any advice, and am I correct in thinking American Audio may repair under warranty. Its about 2 years old?

Thank you for your reply, I am very grateful. It has only just started doing in in the last month or two. It has been trouble free for the first 18 months of ownership.

Do you have turntables? If so, are they grounded.

Is anything new in your environment? (Cables, power cords, computers, etc.)

Take it slow, and check things one by one.

I don't have turntables and it even does it when there are no cables connected with the exception of the xlr output cables, and the power lead (which is also new as I thought it might be this and purchased a brand new Genuine ADJ one). Any other thoughts?

If so, do you hear any of the noise in the headphone output?
