I'm wanting to run a RJ45 cable from my computer to the stage and power the SIUDI11A Device that came with MyDMX 5. This way I don't have to run a long DMX cable from front of house to the stage. How can this be done? THANKS!

Hi, so the RJ45 is for ethernet functions to put the hardware onto the local network so it can be wirelessly accessed by the computer over the network.
I am not 100% sure if a computer connected to WIFI and with an ethernet cable going from the computer to the 5.0 hardware, it will connect that way over the network.

Thank you for the response. I hope I am explaining this correctly. I need to know the best way to connect to my lights from the front of house without running a long DMX cable. It's there a upgrade to the mydmx5 hardware, extra equipment I need to purchase, etc. if there is information on this that you could point me to that would also be great Thanks for your help.
At the bottom of the product page is says
Note: The RJ45 socket is used as an alternative to USB
I thought that meant I could use the RJ45 socket to run a long ethernet cable from my computer to the Gold unit on the stage and from there I could run my DMX cables. The only use for the USB is to connect it to the computer so it being an alternative to USB you would assume that would be how it works.
I am trying to figure out how to not run a super long DMX cable from the front of house to the stage. Please help me understand this. Thank you!
Hi you should be able to use a RJ45 cable in this way, just remember you still need to power the device through USB-C cable to a smart phone charging brick or if there is one in the box.
