How to keep changes on one fixture and switch to another

On a DMX Operator, is there a way to make a change on one fixture and then go to another to make a change. When I select another fixture, any changes made revert back to the original setting. Know you can edit a scene and that should retain the setting. This would need to be done for each change, I assume. These are simple 2 and 4 channel DMX lights. Thanks in advance!!
