Hex bar 12 blowing fuses

Hi Guys,

A friend of mine borrowed my hex bar 12, apparently there was a problem with the power which caused a peak and made the fuse blow.

Now this shouldn't be a problem because a have a few extra fuses with the same rating (250v 2a). When i replaced the fuse, the device turned on and worked as it should. But when i turned it on for the second time the fuse blew immediately. Now this keeps on happening, first power on with a new fuse, no problem, but the second time it blows.

Now my question, has anyone got an idea what might be the cause of this problem? Do these devices take slow or fast blow fuses (so far only tried fast blow)?
