I am also posting this in the Elation Forum because I need some help fast....

I just bought an Elation Operator-192 to run 8 DMX LED Lights.... All 8 lights are ADJ.... I will be adding 4 more ADJ lights to this and also 8 LED Par's (not ADJ)... 20 lights in all... I know I can only run 12 lights at a time on the Operator-192.... However, right now I want to worry about these 8 lights.... did I purchase the right DMX Controller?.... Can I grow with this one?.... would I be better off with a different DMX board? The manual says that the board has a built-in mic... I don't see one...

I have a show coming up this coming Friday... I can't even get the lights to turn on with the DMX board.... I need some serious help.... I am a mobile DJ and just want to run the lights in sound mode but don't want to have (6) UC3's on my table..... I could get (2) UC3 Wireless controllers (each one works 4 lights).... However, will the wireless remotes conflict with one another?.... Plus these UC3's will not help me down the road when I want to run the 20 lights.... what's the best way to go for now and something I can grow into later?... here's what I currently have....

2) Revo Burst
2) Profile Panels
1) Hyper Gem
1) Revo 4
1) Jelly Dome
1) Galaxian 3D

HELP!

The Jelly Dome is the only one with dip switches... the others have LED read-outs... I'm really confused... I might have the fixtures set wrong... I don't know... I got my Revo Bursts to turn on don't know what I'm doing with the DMX board to control them.... All I want to do is put them on and run them sound active.... I'm sure that if I had the opportunity to talk with someone, I could get it done...

I posted another post today... thinking of going with a couple of UC3 wireless units instead of a DMX Controller but not sure... I am wondering if the 2 wireless remotes will interfere with each other.... does anyone know that?...
Okay. Each fixture with an LED readout should have a DMX setting. You will have to find out where it is in the manual. Also in the each fixtures' manual, there should be a DMX chart telling you what each channel and and value on each channel does. You will need to address each one. Check here for where I explain how to address and a few other things that might help you to troubleshot.

Let us know if this helps and then post some more specific questions since yours are very broad right now.
Using the lights for the first time this weekend... I'll let you know... I liked the Raves a little better than the Bursts... however, the Bursts are brighter and do not have any moving parts... 2 big plusses for me... and since I have the Revo 4 and the Hyper, the Bursts are a little different... I also have 2 Profile Panels in there for washes... and a Jelly Dome... everything looks nice in the office... We'll see how nice look at a large event...

I tried running them all DMX and it's not for me... I want them to run in sound active mode and with DMX you're limited unless you create scenes... you can't run multiples of the same unit in sound active mode and have them do the same thing like you can with a UC3 in master/slave mode...

With DMX you can only work one light at a time (unless of course you create scenes)... I'm a mobile DJ and want to keep it simple... turn some on... turn some off... and run them in sound active mode... I might take the time down the road to program scenes and maybe use it for full color washes (all on), etc...

For now I'm getting (2) UC3 Wireless units to run them... it should be much better for me and what I want to do... I also found out today that the UC3 remotes will not conflict with each other when working together

I know you are familiar with the new lasers coming out... what do you like better between the Galaxian 3D and the new Hypnotic?... do you feel the Hypnotic is worth twice as much as the 3D?.... Are there any other lasers to consider?
