Ok, So I'm now playing at a new club with the loudest system I've heard in my life....They have a lot of reggae nights there so when the bass starts kicking outta the system IT STARTS KICKING!!!! Anyways I'm finding my headphones are absolutly in adequate for the power this system unleashes. Just wanna hear ya'lls opinion on different headphone models!!!!

I hear a lot of people talk about the Sony's but when I'm buying headphones im looking at the durability factor. It makes no sense buying $100+ headphones and then they dont stand up fairly well to the rigors of being dropped, cord pulled etc..

I am testing out a pair of ******* Monitor 8's, not the best in sound quality, they keep the outside noise out, and they seem darn well durable.

-removable and replaceable headphone cord.
-Comes with 2 headphones cords.
-metal head band
-headphones adjust using a screw mechanism (that means no sliding & having to readjust the headband to fit your head)

I've been using it thursday through sunday for about 4 months now and not a sign of breaking or anything like that.

Like I said..with any headphones, the biggest thing is durability. You can find tons of headphones with noise cancelation and well defined sound, but the question is how many of them will last after you shell out $100+ ??

check around
Most headphones for DJ use today are made of plastic, and therefore, are not made to be dropped, stepped on, and the cords yanked. ADJ makes a decent pair of headphones, and if you are worried about durability, you can pick up 2-3 pairs for about the same price of the Sony's so you have an instant replacement available. And yes they are just about the same in terms of durability.
I wouldn't really use the *********s in a club simply because they really offer no outside isolation. While for the price they are decent, in the end they are not made for use outside the home. I have to say that since I got a pair of AA hp500's for review I have been nothing but impressed.....while they are not quite as loud or sweet sounding as the Sony's, they are only about $49 or less and are the first pair of sub $50 headphones (or sub $70 for that matter) that I would use with confidence in a loud club environmment.
