Hi all,

Just curious if anyone here owns or auditioned the DLS-15p's? If so, did you note a buzz problem with the speakers?

I auditioned and bought a pair of dls-15p's while back home on vacation (April 22, 2005). Everything sounded great on the demo pair in the Guitar Center (No Buzz). I ship the brand new speakers back to my FPO address. Hook em up and get annoying buzz.

I've tried everything I could think of to try and fix this. Cheater Plugs, New IEC power cords, went from Rca to Xlr cables, played with the volume/bass/treble settings and finally tried different outlets throughout my home with no input at all. I'm still getting this Buzz.

I just tried to contact support and keep getting my e-mails returned. Will have to call here soon.

I hope I don't have a Bum pair of speakers. What do you guys think?

Thanks,
Wiz

It sounds like a ground loop problem. Are you running an EQ? Do you have a ground lift on the EQ or mixer? Do you run the power cords parallel to the signal cables? All of these can cause a buzz. I know a few guys are out of the office at a show. So you can try calling this week, and should be able to get some help.
Stevie Ray,

I didn't think or at least I was hoping this wasn't normal. Again while auditioning the DLS' in Guitar Center they didn't have any buzz problem.

Was hoping to get some opinions from people whom actually own/listened to the speakers for their thoughts on the matter.

Anyway, I will call tech support this afternoon.

Thanks again for your input,
GWIZ
Hi Guys,

I'm currently overseas (military) I bought the pair while back home on leave in Virginia Beach, Va. "Guitar Center" and shipped them back to My FPO address.

Again the problem is within the pair of dls' that I have. I've gone thru all the normal " Ground Loop" fixes --> bought 3 sets of " Cheater (2 prong) adaptors, upgraded to XLR cables, bought a set of ground loop isolator cables, and tried other IEC Power Cables. I've plugged them on every outlet throughout my home without (READ) any input what so ever (just the speakers power cords to the wall and turning the power switch on). BUZzzzzzzzzz Mad

Anywho, I contacted Tech Support and they set me up with RA# for a repair job. Now if I only weren't overseas....

A Big Whoot Whoot for American Audio's Tech Support!!! Wink

Thanks for the input guys,
Gwiz
