Groove Wheel fade?

My Groove Wheel unit has been steadily losing intensity of color. Recently the red oil has completely faded to being almost indistinguishable from no color at all, remaining only as a very light pink. Is it normal for the Groove Wheel's oil wheel to lose its color over time? I see that additional wheels are available via the parts store, I'm just wondering if this is normal wear for a Groove Wheel or if this represents another problem that can be remedied.

i dont know if it's "normal" but it happened to my groove wheel.
