Fade setup / Live mode not working

I cannot seem to find any good information on how to make fades work. I see the fade setup in editor mode, but fades do not work when I switch between scenes. I also cannot get live mode to work. All of the lights operate in editor mode, but not in Live mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
