DCD1000 Pro questions?

I just purchases a new one and am having difficulties to use the SKID option as described in the Manual and the Stutter effect. Can anyone help.

How do I really test SKID?
How do I make use of Stutter optopn. When the loop is playing I keep pressing the IN button but it does not do much, or cancels the loop.

Please note that I'm new in this business.

Hold on to the Scratch Button more then 2 seconds till it starts flashing... Then hit the " IN " button from the Loops feature to activate your cue point in the song, or while the song is playing.

FOR EX: While the song is playing.. Hit the " IN " Button on the " LOOP " at any point of the song to where you want your cue to start, and then hit the platter.
