DCD Pro 1000 Trays

Does anyone know of a way to disable the auto close function for the cd trays on the dcd pro 1000? This is really the only bad thing I found with the unit. It's really easy to have a disc get slammed 1/2 in & 1/2 out of the tray....SUCKS!!!

I wish I could help, but I know of no way to defeat this feature. I hope that Sergio can step in and prove me wrong.
