Bad SSL???

I'm sure this is something I'm doing wrong and I've searched for answers but can not find any.

I have a Chauvet 4Bar and I am attempting to edit the generic rgb.ssl in the fixture editor to make the light appear normal in the 3-D Visualizer.

If I do nothing but change the panel type from 1 to 2, save it, then try to reopen it, I get the following message: "Can not open library: Bad SSL format.'

Can someone tell me what manner of ignorance I am employing here so I can correct it?

how do you mean normal? does the 3D object "glow" or does it have a light beam?

It glows rather than have a wash beam as it should and the shape is a huge box rather the actual flattened par can look of the light.

And I just discovered, it does this even if I create a brand new fixture and save it.

Does it have something to do with me using Win 7 64 Bit?

ok let me look into this in just a little bit.
Also since this is considered "one fixture" in terms of DMX i cannot create multiples of the cans in the 3d and have them respond to just this one profile. The 3D is kind of limited in terms of using a set up of this kind all responding from the same profile.

I was attempting to use your suggestion in an earlier thread by using the 4Bar controller setup followed by 4 rgb fixtures. They all show up in the 3-D, just as big, flat square panels though rather than the round (albeit in a square box), that they are.

oohh ok. lol. click on the library type button on the editor. then click on the picture and select other than find a par that closely resembles the par and and adjust the size in XYZ.
