Lately I have been at the exhibition "Prolight + Sound" in Frankfurt and I have seen the brand new version of Madrix the LED controlling software. Well, indeed this software makes it pretty easy to use LED equipment and build really professional solutions in just seconds. Since I am not in light I am a DJ I was totally impressed to see Madrix interacting with my favourite dj software UltraMixer. I have seen a friend of mine a light jockey spending hours to program a song title into a LED wall. UltraMixer + Madrix does it just without doing anything. To see how it works you can just download both software tools: www.madrix.de and www.ultramixer.com
Unfortunately, I could spend enough money for LED equipment until now, but I am still impressed.

Newbie question: what is different about programming for LED fixtures? Or, is it just the programming for LED walls that is especially complicated? My band wants to buy some lighting gear and we are very interested in using LED fixtures wherever possible. Any reasons to avoid them other than the somewhat higher prices?
hey mark sorry i missed ur post how come u didn't start a new topic? anyways what leds were u considering buying. when u program leds all u really need to worry about is mixing the colors and depends on ur controller fade times if u need em. oh recording led walls can be complicated due to having to bitmap them if your using images or whatnot. let me know what your looking at and i can help u further. peace! and welcome to the forums. jingles!
