The process is still a little unclear. When I hit 'mode' again I don't see what the instructions say I will:

DMX Mode:
Operating through a DMX controller give the user the freedom to cre- ate their own programs tailored to their own individual needs.


1. This function will allow you to control each individual fixture’s traits with a Elation® DMX 512.
2.To run your fixture in DMX mode, plug in the fixture via the XLR connections to any standard DMX controller.
3.Press the MODE button until “d.XXX” is displayed. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select your desired address. Once you have set your desired DMX address press the SETUP button to choose your desired DMX mode.
4. When you press the SETUP button “CH-X” should be displayed. “X” represents the DMX Channel mode. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to select your desired DMX Channel mode. Press the SETUP button again once you have found your desired DMX Channel mode.
5.Please see pages 10-13 for DMX values and traits.

Do you see a "d.0001" or anything after you hit the mode button? That's all your looking for.

I see d5-1 which I can change to d5-2 with the up button. That's the closest there is.

however, the next setting when you press 'mode' is a 4 digit number with no letter....

The ds is for the display. You need to keep hitting mode until you see d.001 or something like that. That will be for you to set the dmx address.

sadly, when I click through all the options with the mode button, I only see:

dS-1
`1001
2253
3-02
SP-8

...and then back to dS-1

Is it possible that the light has been placed in a slave mode or some other kind of setting that would disable the dmx option? I did let a friend borrow it, and I think they put it in a chain of a few other uvled bars.

At this point I am unsure. Let me try to get one of our service techs to respond to this thread.

I just spoke to my friend and he said that they did, in fact, put the light into slave mode.

Do you have a user manual? All the info is in there and it is correct. Just got to read it a few times over and over again till it makes sense. Still waiting to hear from a service tech aswell.

I downloaded the manual from the website. I'm not sure where I put the original one.

The online manual definitely refers to a button I don't have.

Weirdly, I can't seem to access the slave setting either. I feel like both the slave setting and the DMX settings were available before.

This issue was never resolved.
