When I use Cross Dj, everything works except sync. When I use Traktor that came with it, only the basics work. I can't scratch can't change efx, no sync. What's wrong? Help please

cant talk about cross, but for traktor: what mapping are you using?
I am using the mapping that came on the cdrom. I think that I used the updater for virtualdj for firmware. Is there a way to reset this.
the fw updater has nothing to do with the mapping you use in traktor

you can tell what exact version you use by clicking on the traktor logo, it opens the about screen where among other stuff the number is displayed.

ok, please update to the current 2.6.6 version and in the settings wizard, choose the vms.

I tried what you said, nut the wizard just configures traktor according to my hardware. It has the latest software for everything. It does the same thing on my other computer too. I tried vdj and the muic stops when I touch the platters and I can't change the effects either.
