Apologies for being a newbie to these forums. How would I go about moving the software & license (?) from a dying Windows 11 computer that has the DMX3.0 software installed to the C: root directory to a new Windows 11 computer.  Another person installed the software and equipment a couple of years ago but sadly has moved on and left no instructions or manuals.  All seems to be working as it should with the exception of the computer which is in need of replacement. Any assistance, as in instructions, videos or white papers to accomplish this would be valuable and greatly appreciated! Cheers!

Hello! Welcome!
The license is tied to the hardware, so if you just stick a copy of your show file onto a thumb drive, and install the same version date on the new computer and open up your show file and plug in the hardware all should be good to go!
The only tricky part is if you have triggered audio files in your show file, you will want to try to recreate the directory to them as best as possible, but it is not hard to change if any issues arise. Hope this helps!

So, if I understand correctly, I would just need to install the MyDMX 3.0 software (version 3/1/2022, filedate of MyDMX3 app program) in a new Windows 11 computer, copy over the folders from the old computer found in  c:\MyDMX3\  , connect the "hardware" via USB (as was connected on the old computer) and I would be all set?  Seems simple enough for a newb such as myself and thanks for the "Welcome greetings". Cheers again, jingles8302 and have a great holiday season!

Unless you are using audio triggers in your show file, you don't need to copy any folders over, all the profiles and addressing and programming gets stored into the show file, at a bare minimum you just need to install the most recent version date and then load up your show file and plug in the hardware and you should be good.
