Hey guys...
i need help here. just purchased DCD pro1000 and its really cool.

i think i have the best player in our town now... and gained some respect already....

but one thing i need to have, will not cost money actually, i need to learn how to use the scratch stuff in this player.

anyone knows how to get some info on how to do cool stuff with the d.scratch 2.0? mp3 samples? reading material? suggest songs to start with? or MP3s that contains loops to scratches?

you can practice with any CD.. you don't really need any special CD to figure out how it works.. if you want loops, you are better off creating loops with the 1000. Learn how to master the looping feature. Just play around with the machine, and you'll start figuring stuff out on your own ! ENJOY
joerpogi,

Congrats on the 1000. Like SKILZ said, you can scratch almost anything! Some yield better results than others. Look for songs with a sharp snare, or cymbal that sticks out of the mix. Rather than MP3s, look for WAV files. There are dozens of sites out there with samples from movies, TVs, etc. Download them, then burn to CD (slowly, not at 20x+ speed). You can then scratch that. Heck, record your own voice into the computer, and scratch it! Smiler
For premade stuff, I've been happy with Digital Scratch Traxx 2. There's also Digital Scratch Traxx 1. You can also check out DJ ROQ's website (another member there). He's got some good samples to scratch.

Good luck!
