I have had these two toys for awhile now and love them. When I bought them, my sales rep said they could run in SA mode with one of them being the slave. I have tried without success to make this work. He then said I need a DMX splitter. I recently picked up a Chauvet unit, and while it makes my setup a little quicker, I am still not gaining the SA with a slave. Is it even possible?

Sorry I should clarify. I have two of each. I am trying to slave the XPress pair on one channel off of the splitter and the Quad Gem DMX pair off of another. Again, all in sound active mode with only one light (master) responding to the music, and the second (slave) doing what the master is doing.
That is what I now have set up with the Chauvet splitter. From the controller to the splitter then to seperate runs to each Master, from there to the slave of the pairs. When I connect up the slave, I would think the slave light would come on... hmmm just thought of something.Be back in a few.
Have you ever used a master/slave system before? Here is how it should go.
master unit set to master with a XLR going OUT of the master to the Input on the slave fixtures. Same goes for your next set of M/S. Do not have any cables connected between the fixture types. Even the splitter could effect this. Also the splitter is a DMX signal I really don't believe you need it for master/slave.
Sincerely,
I use a DMX operator Pro to control all of my lights and packs. The output from the controller now goes to my splitter. I say "now" because that is what my rep said I needed to be able to have a Revo XPress in Sound Active mode and have the other be its slave. From there off to the appropriate lights and light pairs.
Update. I just read a post by Chris Pickett and in it he states "and in this mode, each responds to sound active mode independently"

I guess I am trying to make something happen that simply does not exist. I think I need to let my sales rep know.... So, does anyone want to buy a DMX splitter?
