question about samples

WHAT ARE SAMPLES??? like i just orderd my cdi 500 and I dont even know what a sample is?? a 5 second sample?? what does this do? thanks

A sample....is a sample. Which means you take a 5 second "sample" (part) of the music and save it to memory. You can then play back the sample from memory over the track playing. ie. I use it with the line at the end of James Brown - Living In America where he goes "I Feel Good!" And I can drop that over a track. I'll show you in the video next week.
