Peace To All The Headz Here....I Go by the name Steve Mixx (I see theres another Steve here also...PEACE To Dj Stevie Ray)I Been In the game for 20+ years Started in the Bronx(Bronx River)moved to the Dirty South(Charleston SC) made the decision to go CD about 5 years ago..owned the PS1..They were Kool, Got the PS2...Gotta say I love the realness in the sound. Try as i may I couldn't get any cartoony sound from them. True vinyl. I got the CDI500.....Love the features and the bigger platter the whole 9....But to me the sound is not the same. I could work with it but I have to move the platter in a slower scratching motion... I mean it's less effort and i can adapt to it but..... I dunno it sounds to me like....for instance the breakbeat Shangri Las by La Pregunta ("Paridise is very nice").I put that on the 500's and it sounded like the movie "Star Wars".....Don't get me wrong I love my decks but i was wondering if anyone else experienced this???? Confused Peace to Dj Skillz your name fits perfectly....And to all my other dj's in this fourm Much luv

Steve,
Welcome to the forum, I'm not quite sure what you are trying to say about the sound? I as well have had them all, and too me I think the CDI, has a much better pre-amp and warmer sound. I don't have to run the gains on my mixer as much to get the same sound as the good old PS2's. The scratching itself is based on the same software as the PS2. Can you record an example of what your talking about and post it?
