new favorite gel colors.

My current favorite color is L126 "mauve" its an awesome deep color that will make you thank God that you aren't color blind. When I get calls to do small church shows that want a little mood lighting around the room, I'll use this color with a good deep teal and blue - it looks amazing and you don't even need to dim your uplights.

I found 2 sheets of L127 "smoky pink" in the back of my gel cabinet at church.....I cut it up and threw it up on 4 1k pars for colored house lights and was blown away. The pink is very "muted", not girly at all. My nickname for this color is dirty-euro-trash pink because it looks like something you would see in some British night club with an old Queen song in the background...

wow. what kind of gels do you use. I like apollo gels but don't use them($$$$) I actually don't know what we use. They just kinda give me a sheet and i cut it up and throw it in a light. Those colors sound really cool. Thats the thing that interests me in lighting. The colors that you would never expect would look good, or you think will be "girly" are the BEST ones!
