MyDMX 1.0 and WiFly

Will MyDMX 1.0 and WiFly be compatible?

And how compatible will the WiFly be with various lights? Like other, I have a mix of several vendor lights and I want to know if they are going to work before I invest in WiFly.

mydmx v1 will be fine with wifly, assuming they release the profiles needed to run the wifly fixtures with dmx software.

As far as dmx, you should be able to pass along your dmx signal from the DMX output of any wifly fixture to any non-wifly dmxable fixture.

I'm not sure I understand the need for a profile for the WiFly device. Can you explain?

each fixture needs to have a profile for the software to know the dmx values and instructions for that fixture. When you patch your fixtures, you are telling mydmx what fixture profiles to use. So you will have to have a profile for your wifly lights to work.
