Mounting Spot 250s On Top Of Global Truss Horizontal Trussing

I have a pair of Spot 250s that I'd like to mount to the very top of my Global Truss Arch Truss system. I know that I can hang my lights, but I want them to stand upright on the top of the horizontal bar.

You can mount them the same way up top as you would on the bottom pipe..... just not being hung they would be top mounted. Uses same clamps as you do when you hang them.

you can mount them either on the back or front bar on the top part of the truss no problem. Sure the fixture won't be centered in between the two pieces of pipe but you should be able to mount them the way I described. I even confirmed it with a fellow co worker at Global truss, so it will work.

It can. Trust me. Instead of mounting it in the exact spot of where it was on the bottom pipe mount it slightly left or right due to the crossbar. Very simple. It can be done. The fixtures base will stick out a bit but that is ok. Just make sure to tighten that clamp good and it won't slip.

Believe me when I type this James...I really am not trying to be difficult here...but I am just not seeing where you say this can be done.

Nope, I still say it can be done. We have had this same truss system set up at trade shows with moving heads mounted on the top pipes. I am not a truss tech support rep, So I can't fully support you're questions. It's better to talk to the truss guy's anyways. Give them a call and ask for Tony or Danny.
