What hardware controller were you thinking of?

Whatever one you would suggest. I want simple to program and simple to use live.

Do you want or need individual fade and hold times? Or ability to generate Effects for pan and tilt color dimmer etc? do you want easy to override live on the fly?

Do you have any pre-built shows for the comscans, and DJ Scan 250 HP's? If you have a couple that I could use, that would be great, until I start learning how to program. Right now I have 1 comscan with the white/open gobo going back and forth in a straight line. It is pretty pathetic. So if you have just a couple of shows programmed for either fixture, it would be much appreciated. Right now I have 2 of each on my truss. The comscans are at address 1, and the DJScans are at 16. I am pretty sure you don't have anything written for the Mania EFX600 or Mini Mac profiles. So those I will have to go it alone. Also if you have any thing special for the Galaxian 3D

Until I get more Truss, I will only be using 2 of each fixture. I currently have the values set as follows.
Both Comscans = 1-5
EFX600 = 6-13
Both DJScans 16-19
MiniMac 1 = 20-29
MiniMac 2 = 30-39
Galaxian 3D = 40-44

Ahh I see now. Anyway I can talk you into expanding the address for individual control of the Com Scans and DJ scan HP's? Would be better and then i can do more like the chases you had showed me in the video. If I'm trying to do chases like that most DEF. need to have each fixture have their own unique address.

Give me what you think I should use for addressing, and I will do it. Just remember that the DJScans can only do every 16 addresses because of the dip switches

What, Really? I'll have to check that out.

It has 10 dip switches. So i don't know whats up. where did you hear only blocks of 16?

That's the way I understood it. Maybe I am wrong. You tell me.

Because the Show designer blocked fixtures in groups of 16 or 32. Can't remember. I see nowhere in the manual where it says blocks of 16 only. Let's try it patched close to each other see what happens?

I may just need some help setting the addressed by dip switch. I guess if you needed 33 then you would put on switch 6=32 & 1=1? Correct.

for a address of 33 dip's 1 and 6 need to be on.
Try to remember this:
1=1
2=2
3=4
4=8
5=16
6=32
7=64
8=128
9=256
Combine any of 1-9 to get addresses. such as for a address of 50, A address of 50 uses dips 2(2), 5 (16), 6 (32). 2+16+32=50
It's all math. Are you good at math? lol
Also name the martin mini mac profile your using? mode 1, 2, 3, or 4? Also the EFX600 aswell.

Got it. I was trying mode 2 for the EFX, and mode 4 for the MiniMacs. It was my understanding that the higher the mode number, the more control you have.

Ok. Well you said 9 channels but the max i saw was 8 channels for the mini macs. But I'll use that profile and I'll try to have something for you by later tonight.

MiniMac Wash is 8 channel. I am using the Martin Profiles from the mydmx download page.

PS I hope it doesn't affect what you are doing too much, but I swapped the positions of theComscans and the DJScans, as the DJScans are taller and got in the way of the MiniMacs.

The MiniMacs are only on the floor because they do not fit on top of the truss in my garage. The ceiling is too low.
