So learning to use MyDMX5 and finding it can be very glitchy. At some point it will turn a light on or off and the only way to fix is to close the file and re-open. So for instance my Dotz Par T-Bar with four lights. I will run one of the lights and have the others off. Then I go live and combine that scene with full colour scene of the same Dotz with the solo scene higher priority. Then all of a sudden another light comes onto the solo even though all of the channels are off. This and other things that glitch and then are fixed closing and opening file. Worried about using live as my 3.0 was pretty reliable.

Hi, if you can email us a copy of your show file, we can try to reproduce this on our end, are you on Mac or Windows?
Where do I email to? I am just working on building this show as I used to run one scene per song with multiple sets and now changing to multiple scenes triggered by my DAW midi
Just to follow up while trying to program the last few nights I have found the software starts to glitch and turn on a random light. Happened with my Dotz par and it happened with my Ubar. Once I know where I can upload my show file.
sorry about that, you can also upload files directly to the forums with the attachment button, but my email is Jamesk@adj.com
Just to keep honest I am having better luck although I still run into the odd fixture that get's stuck when in edit mode. It took me a while to figure out the nuances as 5.0 does some things quite different however I have been able to mostly get the hang of it and sent in some video of the glitches. I deleted a prior post saying it was unusable and to be honest I think some of that was me not understanding the differences and working as if it was 3.0.
Hoffco I appreciate your feedback, and i thank you for editing your posts so people don't get the wrong idea.
