This is a good lesson for the whole family to learn. How to make your DJ Scans Strobe. WEll to tell you what, your out of luck if your coming here with your DJ SCANSrg in hand. For this trick only works with DJ SCANS.

REQUIREMENTS: DMX 512 BOARD AND AT LEAST ON DJ SCAN, orginal not rotating gobo.

1. Put dmx board into program mode.

2. Chose a pan and tilt for your light as if you were setting any other scene.

3. Chose any color, except for "blackout" which will turn your unit temporarily off.

4. Choose the "four cirlces" gobo. And then hit midi/record button then scene one.

note: do not change the pan and tilt.

5. Now using the gobo slider, push it up all the way to the top. So that it apears to be on the closed gobo or "shutter" and set that as scene 2.

6. To make a whole show with strobe effect, continue to chose new a pan for every other two scenes. Example, scene 1 scene 2, new pan, scene 3 scene 4, new pan, scene 5 scene 6, new pan and so on. Chosing a new tilt, will only cause delay in each flash so it is not recomended.

7. Now all you need to do is set a chase using an even amount of scenes.

8. For beginners, just set a chase using scene one and scene two. Set the speed very close to "0 seconds". If you select a slower speed, it wont be strob and more or less, it will be openning and closing. NOthing speacial.

Voala! You got your self some strobin DJ scans. GOOD LUCK!

no it makes perfect sense, i acutally did this about a year or two ago, and the idea is a very logical idea, just use the closed gobo/shutter for blackout, and then use the next closest gobo [four circles] for the strobe, chase the scenes altogether and you have a strobing dj scan!
