Our church has recently installed ten P64 LED lights controlled by an Elation Professional DMX operator in our sanctuary. We currently have the four center lights set to position 1 (10000…) and the remaining out board lights set to position 17 (1000100…). This provides independent control of these two groups of lights via sliders 1 - 6 on fixture 1 (for the four center lights) and sliders 1- 6 on fixture 2 for the two sets of three lights on each side of the center lights.

Our problem is that we manually switch between light groups and set the sliders on the fly when going between the various groups of lights. We cannot find anything in the manuals instructing us on how to program the P64 LED lights. All instruction is dedicated to single color PARs on channels 129 and up or moving lights.

How do we set scenes such that scene 1 would be the four center lights with 100% red intensity, 80% green intensity and 60% blue intensity, scene 2 would be 100% red, 70% green, 50% blue, and scene 3 would illuminating both banks at these settings?

Thank you for the quick response.

The lights have been wired with DMX cable and are numbered 1 through 10 starting with the first light above house right ending with light 10 above house left.

The center four lights (Lights 4, 5, 6, and 7) have address 1 (1000...) set via dip switches on the rear of the individual lights. Lights 1, 2 3, 8, 9, and 10 all have address 17 (10000100...) set via the dip switches on the rear of the light fixture.

The controller correctly recognizes these 10 lights as two sets of lights. We are not looking of control of individual lights.

How do we establish presets for these two sets of lights? We are trying to set scenes such that scene 1 would be the four center lights with 100% red intensity, 80% green intensity and 60% blue intensity, and the three lights on either side of certer stage would be turned off. Scene 2 would be 100% red, 70% green, 50% blue, for lights 1,2 3,8, 9, and 10 and the four middle lights would be turned off. Scene 3 would illuminating both groups of lights at 100% red, 80% green, and 60% Blue.

I am thinking that if I can do this, I'll be able to do anything we need to do, untill we add a laser (but the laser will be another email)

Thanks for the help.
you program it exactly like you said it. scene one make the lights do that. move the relevant faders to make the look. if they are addressed right then they should all respond. what i dont understand is the (1000) and (100000100) would those 1's be the dip switches up? let me know that is really the only thing throwing me off. sincerely,
Sorry to have been confusing. The dip switches are on the back of the PAR units. The 1's are dip switches in the up position, 0's are dip switches in the down position. In my last correspondence, I had too many zero's in the binary equivelent of 17. In any case, we worked with the DMX Operator Pro last night and were able to set a number of pre sets. I think we are out of the woods now, Thanks for the help.

By the way, I noticed you are from Wausau, WI. We lived in Menomonee Falls, WI for 17 years and just recently moved to SE Georgia. I hope "you guys" are dealing well with the snow.

Thanks again for the assist.

Mike
