Event Bar DMX Channels?

The manual says there are 3 DMX modes: 12, 14, & 25 channels. The website says there is 1 DMX mode: 17 channels. Which is it? If it's a 17 channel mode, can you define the different channels? Seems to be some discrepancy here.
