DMX Operator manual crossfade

Hi dawedler and welcome to the forums.

When you say crossfade, do you mean move a fader or just simply hit another button? To be able to black out whenever, you simply need a console with a Master or Grand Master fader.

I would like to be able to fade to another scene or to black by either hitting a button or moving a fader. I just don't want it to happen at a pre-programmed time (like in a chase). I also want to be able to control the fade time. So, hit a button and it fades slowly from say red scene to blue scene. Hit a button and medium fade to black, etc. Can I, during a show, adjust the fade time slider and then click a scene? (hope this makes sense, i'm kinda new to this)

Yea, it seems like a Magic 260 is more of what you are looking for. You can adjust the fade times in between scenes manual or pre-programed it in. You can then also adjust the hold times of each scene in a show manually as well. The Master or the Blackout button will let you black out whenever you would like.
