I completely new to DMX and lighting and I have some questions if anyone can help me out! To start out, I have a basic Elation 8 channel DMX controller. Im using four 64 LED pro's, four Deluxe scans and two DJ spot 240's. I have them all hooked up and working with no problems other than: when i have my 64 LED's on, then I hit the scanner button for the Deluxe scans and start moving them around, the LED's change colors as I adjust the faders for the Deluxe scans...so my question is...how do I keep my LED's on, say red, then hit the scanner button for the Deluxe scans or DJ Spots without everything else being affected??make any sense? Im not advanced enought to create any scenes as of yet so Im doing everything manually, this is how i have the addresses set: DJ Spot 250(001){scanner 1}, DJ Spot 250(017){scanner 2}, Deluxe Scan 250(033){scanner 3}, Deluxe Scan 250(049){scanner 4}, Deluxe Scan 250(065){scanner 5}, Deluxe Scan 250(081){scanner 6}, 64 LED Pro(097){scanner 7}, 64 LED Pro(113){scanner 8}, 64 LED Pro(119){scanner 9}, 64 LED Pro(145){scanner 10}.

hello recluse. welcome! you are gonna need more than 8 channels to control all those lights otherwise you will have them overlapping which explains the prob with the led going off red when u want to move something else. to have best control over your lights you need to have enough space on your controller to control them all individually. i would look into getting the DMX operator 192, or if u have a spare PC laptop laying around MY DMX. sincerely,
