Just wondering if anyone could suggest an adj cd player that has a platter and can emulate true vinyl characteristics? I'm looking for more of the basic unit for this nothing fancy at this point the budget doesn't allow it. Thanks.
The CDI-500 Pro-Scratch2 DCD-1000 & Velocity all have a true vinyl emulation. It is a static platter like the CDJ's just with a touch sensative platter instead of pressure sensative.
stevie or any1 , what's the deal with psx's? Currently I own a dual cd player but a brand name that is well not american audio and there garbage i've had enough of them. I'm primarily concerned with lighting and audio is usually not my main job/focus so i'm looking for something basic however, I want to be able to do some basic scratching techniques with cd players. I like the psx's I believe b/c of their price lol. Would you be able to provide some of the pro's and con's of that model? Thanks
The PSX has a true vinyl sound, and works great in a paused mode as far as control. But if you are in play mode and stop moving the platter, the music will continue playing. The other players I mentioned have a lot more control with their touch sensative platters.
