Although im able to select the computer mic as an input, the audio analyser doesnt respond. No movement in the meter and with pulse or bpm and bpm seems to stay at 132bpm. Any ideas? It happens both on windows and mac with MyDmx 3 dongle and MyDmx rm

You may not even need the hardware connected, we are just trying to verify the exact steps you are making and specific effects.
This is a screen shot with no harware or dongle connected. There is a full liveband playing and nothing registering on the meter.
What happens if you increase the threshold slider (circled in the image attached.)
Also do you have an effect generated that is supposed to use the audio or what is the scene playing?
Also what is the release date of the MyDMX 3 software you have installed?
Nothing happens when the threshold is changed. Its just a simple chase that should step on pulse, but no pulse.

oh ok, where did you get the April 12th 2022? I am on march 2022, and both effects and scenes with steps are doing the Step on pulse as they should on my mic..

So I just downloaded and installed the same release you are on on my Mac, and patched in generic RGB and made two scenes, one with generated steps and one with manually made steps, both worked to the pulse of my mic on my mac....
Did you allow for the mic to be used in the security pop up? Cause that could block it... as Apple loves to babysit EVERYTHING you do on a Mac.... LOL
