I consider myself an avid american dj/elation purchaser. I'm installer for many different applications and usually tend to use american dj and elation products for their price and most of there time durability.

However, after my recent events with american dj I really think i'd have a hard time ever suggesting or selling a product of theres again.

Guys at american dj I'm in disbelief right now... I recently purchased 4 accu spot 300's.

Not only did the units arrive a week after they were guranteed to be here by your company. One unit was completely missing a lamp, the gobo wheel had obvious problems.

Another unit was sent out by you people in a timely manner. I was told by a woman to leave the defective unit out to be picked up to be returned... I thought everything was taken care of.

Then I get a phone call from the company I ordered the units through, you guys supposedly have been giving him a hard time saying that you don't know where the unit is...

Guys it really bothers me that when someone on your end makes a mistake that you come after the customer.

It was later brought to my attention that your company has recently undergone a major move in your warehouses and what not. I understand its not an easy thing to do to move operations from one place to another, things happen, orders get delayed (which happened to another rather large order that I placed with you for over $7,000 half of which arrived with some sort of problem.) My problem with you people at this point is how you handle problems when they come up. It's quite apparent that someone over there screwed up at some point in regards to this fixture and instead of handling it you decide to pass the blame onto the client instead of doing the right thing.

I really am disappointed in this situation and again while I would like it to be noted I've had fairly good results with this company in the past I am absolutely outraged in the way that this situation is being handled.

I would be angry too, and you're talking such small dollar values. Still, for the average DJ budget and many places, that's a HUGE amount of cash to lay out.

Sounds like you're slipping through the cracks. If you're doing these kind of installs, you should flex some muscle and become a reseller. This should hopefully give you a little more voice in the ADJ trenches.

Since I buy for my own usage, being a reseller doesn't work for me. But for you, it sounds like a good thing to persue.
Guys, Issues of this importance and gravity need to be taken up with the General Manager (top management) of American DJ. They are a company that truly cares and "given the change" through reasonable channels of communication your concerns will be taken care of in a prudent and agreeable way. Please give them a change at a higher level. Also for the record not only did ADJ move but at the same time Global Truss moved into ADJ's old building. Just the internet issues alone were a nightmare not to mention the phone systems for the companies. Changing DNS servers affected email, phones, and communications on every level for American DJ, Elation, Global Truss, American Audio, Acclaim Lightning, and Lamplight. So, please give them a chance to apologize, do whatever can be done after the fact and stay with a company that does care.
Hey, a few thousand bucks isnt' something I want to fight with ADJ right now. But my issue with ADJ is for a sum of less than $50, and its been clarified and resolved. Hell, fixed a fixrure by figuring out what it was the scaled back version of and getting the right parts.

I'm personally pleased with most things with ADJ. I see things I don't like and I speak up.

I got bigger dollar values to fight, which may end up with me being set for life, so that's where my battles go to.

In the meantime, I have to scrounge up the money for LED ParCan's. I wish they had a bit of a barrel or more "can" to them. Regardless, that's going to make my power consumption issues go away.
