Hi everyone; Im new here. The website is very tight. Im looking for some threads on American Audios DJ software. However, I cant find any. I converted from using turntables, to using the DCD-PRO500, to now using DJ software. I know American Audio/DJ once sold DJ software and a controller. Can anyone tell me if this company still makes the software and controller?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply DJ SKILZ. I was checking online to see if I could find the software, and this is what I found: http://store.yahoo.com/sixstardj/amdjprommp3c.htmlUnfortunately, it states on the linked page that the controller is being discontinued. I guess what you said is true? American Audio should continue to extend its DJ innovations to the PC (this market is really growing). I have a Velocity video that features you cuttin it up on the thing (I was impressed). Imagine the impression on the computer DJ world if American Audio continues to develop its computer DJ software/controller and features you cuttin and mixing it up with this product.

b.t.w. Your performance on that Velocity video almost made me $ell my pc and software so I could go buy the thing. Wink
Double O.. thanks for the kind words. I am not sure why it was discontinued, but you have to think of it this way.. If there was such a big market for it.. it wouldn't have been discontinued.. so keep that in mind. Most DJ's want hands on feel on there equipment.. what i mean by that is by putting the record on the turntable, or slipping the CD in the CD player. PC based DJ'ing is growing more rapidly in the Mobile DJ world because it would be more mobile.

Good point board bro, but I hope American Audio keeps your other point in mind Wink ->PC based DJ'ing is growing more rapidly in the Mobile DJ world.

The market for PC based players is huge..
The problem with the ADJ version is it had some great features, but was useless for 'real world' use.. one of the simplest things it was missing was THE ABILITY TO SEARCH FOR SONGS VIA BPM!

What blows me away is they WERE SOOO CLOSE!!
alls they had to do was implement some simple features (like a better search engine, and the option to use or not use an external mixer)
If they also would of added an external mic control they could have had at least 25% of the market Smiler

...and maybe more! When I visit different DJ software forums, AA's software controller has always been mentioned. Recently in one of the forums, a forum member suggested to the DJ software company that it should consider doing a joint venture with AA because of its innovative digital controllers.

Maybe AA should consider doing a joint venture with a dj software company. The company could upgrade AA's software while AA upgrades its mp3 controller.
