Has anyone Had this problem before. I have only had the item for 2 hours.Does the Foot pedal have to be removed ?

Hi, try disconnecting the pedal and see if that does the trick or not? Also the IR sensor is behind the unit so ensure it is somewhat visible from where you are aiming the remote.
