I am wondering if someone could help me?

Recently I have purchase a ADJ - Entour Faze, I have set the Faze Machine up, all works okay. However when I use a 5-pin to 3-pin Dmx converter the Dmx signals aren't received. It only works over 3 - pin.

Does anyone know why this is or even have a solution to overcome this issue?
