I love my APX Power Pros.......PLEASE tell me that AA is working on a powered sub to compliment them.......PLEASE!!

Seriously, for most gigs my Power Pros are fine, but sometimes I need more thump and it's a pain in the butt to have to carry an amp to run my old passive peavey sub.

Help me Obi Wan.......you're my only hope!

I was afraid that you were going to say that. Well go nudge somebody in the right direction....LOL

Seriously, the powered speaker market is booming right now and most of the competive lines offer a powered sub as well, I would think a well priced alternative to the ******s, ***'s and EV's would be a HUGE Seller!

If they want to build a prototype, I'll volunteer to be a field beta tester Big Grin
ya, i asked almost the same question a month or more ago and thats the same answer i got. i'm not trying to be rude, but lets just say that if something is posted that adj is for sure coming out with one, then i may have to turn to another company. BUT adj is my would be my first choice, so just to let you know i am on the verge of buying and would love to get adj instead of some other company. Big Grin

havn't been to this forum for ages..
The reason I logged in was I've been hearing lots of good things about ADJ's APX powered tops..

Thing is... where is the matching sub? something over 800 watts would be nice Smiler

no really.. is it done yet?

what about now?

how about now?

I waited for well over a year for an ADJ sub....asked the same questions back then too....meantime my customers were demanding more thump....lost patience....went to a competitor....such is life. Unfortunately ADJ have dragged the chain on this product for too long after the APX release.

Would it be completely evil to keep this thread *bumped* up untill ADJ decides to give us a release date on a new sub? (and details)

OK, since you guys are so persistant. Here is info about 2 new subs in development. The first model is BLT, the second model is called NKLR. I'm sorry, but I can't devulge any more information at this time...........

Unfortunately, we have come to find out that Joey snuck into the R&D center on his lunch break, and now mysteriously the prototyp of the BLT model is missing........
talking about subs...... just imagine how low the NKLR can go .....ooohh weee..... now that's what i call deep.... suprising how its sealed enclosure can do that..... and its also water proof.....and it can literally shake u to bits..... it just makes an 18" or even the 21" sub look small.... not to mention the sophisticated internal crossovers and electrical stuff that's inside...... and its powered too.... man..... i wonder how much one them go for??? And thats the point... If I'm going to get the sub from someone else...
I might as well purchase the matching top (also from someone else)

'IF' ADJ comes up with a powered sub in the next year.. (and it matches well with the APX), my second sound system will most likely be from ADJ..
'If Not'... I'll probably just get the speakers from someone else (maybe buy used?)

P.S. I'm not desperate Smiler
This is just my goofy way of letting ADJ know that a powered some from them is wanted and needed..
If DJ's are actually willing to wait (a little bit) just so they can purchase a matching ADJ top and bottom... it would probably be in their best interest to get it devoloped as fast as possible (but still retain the ADJ quality)

I'm not even sure would be a good match for the APX.. I asked my local dealer what would be a good sub and he recommended the JRX-118p sub.. which is only 300 watts continuous..
And I've read the yorkville LS200p is simply amazing for a 200 watt 10 inch..

I'm thinking a 500 watt(amp) 15" sub would go nicely with the APX.. just powerful enough (and light enough) to just take one.. You have a dance with more then 200 people, then run 2 subs and 4 APX tops...
I'll tell you what sounds good with the APXs, I run 2 1x18" folded sub boxes (locally made) that run at 600watts RMS each with an SPL of 128db with my 4xAPX152's. The APXs run off a V4000 and the subs run off a V5000 using the inbuilt sub crossover, no additional processors or EQ's (just from the mixer). The subs compliment the APXs very nicely. My customers like my sound so much that I often get complimented. I found that with additional headroom from the subs over the APXs I don't have to drive the APXs as hard meaning there is absolutely no distortion on the tops and plenty of punch for the grandmas.
