I'm not sure, for the band, but a Tempest facing the crowd side, would be very impressive.

The Tempest looks awesome.......this effect needs to sit right in front of the kick drum of a drum kit or hang right over the drummers head from trussing......I'm looking for something in the housing style of the Color Sweep. Something that can sit at an upward angle or angled downward from a truss.......possible with the Tempest???

I like a nice arrangement of day-lilys, roses, and a few orchids. Throw in some baby's breath, and it will look great on any table.

If you mount it facing up so that it goes over the crowd, the Hyper Beam would look really cool. Make sure you use fog or haze though. If you can get your hands on an old Fascinator light, it would be the better DMX capable alternative.

One time I zip tied 2 microphone stands with booms together to make a makeshift truss in front of the kick drum then hung a 16" mirror ball from it. Looked really cool, hundreds of beams imenating from the kick drum.

Try one of those Sunray or Starball lights in front of the kick drum.
