Hi,
If I buy Y adapters to mount triangular truss by sitting in them. Do I need anything to secure the truss in these Y adapters or can the tri truss just sit in these?

while it will just sit. I would recommend you drill holes for some bolts to better secure the truss.
I use safety cables for mine, I don't use bolts becuse the positioning may not always be the same.
One other thing, we also sell a "T" mount for the Truss, it has the apex on top so you have 2 poles to hang your lights on. It also comes with an anchor plate to secure the truss.
Support I would rather have the Y adapter because with the t-bar, from past experience , it will get un-evenly balanced if you put your lights all one bar, or which not , it just is very un-even to me.
