Hello all,

This week I received my 2 new X-Move plus moving heads. After playing with them I noticed a difference in light intensity between the two.

One of them has a blueish cast in the white and is less bright than the other one.
Gobo's fully open, intensity 255 (computer controlled so no fader issues)

When I set the intensity to 1 and look into the lens I see the LED chip, the chip on the less bright X-move has a blue spot or something. The other one also but that covers less of the chip's surface.

You can see what I mean in this picture, at the top both chip's and at the bottom the beam projected on a white projector screen.

Is it glue that holds the chip's small lens ? Is it temperature ? Both temperature functions keep telling me around 40-43 (celsius?).

I hope you can tell me more, I payed allot of money and I don't want to mess with intensity's to match each other.

The reason the chip's are not in focus is because of the lenses between chip and camera. And The projection distance of both X-moves is the same.

The both projections have the same focus as you can see in the picture so I don't think that's the issue. At least, if they where way out off focus, they should have the same light intensity.
Hello Ernie,

I live in holland in a place called Hilversum (Noord-Holland)
The movements of the fixtures work perfect. But it seems that the LED sources have a sort of thin film laying over it blocking the light (one of them extreme, casting a blue tint also)

On the picture the effect is less visible but in real the difference between the beames is even more noticeable. I want use them mainly for non-random lightshows, so it looks a bit strange to have 2 different intensity's moving around.
Well, I said adjust the focus because in your pictures, it looks like one has a hard edge and the other a softer edge.

When I got my movers(different brand, different non-LED technology, it uses HTI bulbs), I noticed a problem with intensity. I had to position and then refocus to get matching intensities. So, that's why I said check the focus.

Other than that, no clue what's going on.

Be nice. I'm a sound production company. I do lighting because I have to.
All I can say is what worked for me didn't work for you, so we definately don't have the same issues.

Try this link to the Worldwide support area. Your best bet is to try ADJ Europe for support.

There may also be links to phone numbers.

If the fixtures are less than 30 days old, you may be recourse by taking them back to where you bought them from IF that is their policy.
I contacted the dealer and they send me a new one, this one also was less bright but as bright as the 'darkest' moving head, so I'm going to send back the brighter one to have at least the two with the same instensity.

I think this issue must be taken seriously by ADJ because it isn't what you would expect from a product like this.

Thanks for your help anyway!
