I use the controller in two locations on two different computers that both are running the same windows software and both are running the latest controller software. One is running 2 colorstrips and 4 led par cans, the other is running 2 colorstrips and 3 led par cans. One works all the time everytime the second never works on start up. I have to plug in and unplug the controller and open and close the program and cycle the power multiple times to get them to work. I even use the same program that last worked and I experience the same issue. What am I missing?
Thanks for your help

Where to begin. You've left a lot of information but left out more information.

First, specs of computer and operating system, be as specific as possible whenever possible.

When you start up, this is how you do it:

Boot up computer
After logging in(if applicable), NOW you can plug in the MyDMX interface.

Now run MyDMX.

Check your wiring. Are you using DMX cabling? Are you using a terminator? Are you sure you have end to end connectivity?

Are the DMX addresses associated with fixtures correct? Have you confirmed this?
I somehow missed the response you sent which is why I didn't respond sooner. Sorry! As for the computer specs both are HP computers running windows 7 64 bit. As for more details I will have to look but what specifically are you looking for?

I have been hooking it up differently than you recommended so I will try hooking it up differently. I had been plugging the unit in and then turning the computer and lights on.

I am positive that I am using DMX cabling and a terminator and I have solid connectivity on all fixtures and the DMX addresses are correct.

I am also noticing that for some reason the lights will all just turn off and stop responding even though the program is still running.
What do you do when this happens to resolve it?

Also, is there any other DMX equipment in the scenario? Specifically, I am asking if there is a DMX terminator. I'm also interested to know if you are using DMX cable, as well as if you're using something like an Elation OptoBranch4 or an Elation DMX Branch4.

I can't say I completely agree with Bluetooth being disabled, but I am reliant on it for my events as I have a mouse, trackpad and keyboard that I use(Apple devices, I am using a MacBook Pro with Bootcamp). I do however agree completely with WIFI being disbabled UNLESS you are on an active WIFI network, but I still recommend disabling WIFI and going wired if you can.
